In the story "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hohsseni, there are many different characters that interact with one another. While reading the story, one question occasionally comes to mind. What character would would we trust?
By far the one character we would trust is Rahim Khan. He is an honest, kind, trustworthy, and loving person, all throughout the book. He truly cares about Amir, for example he was always there when Baba would reject him, like when Amir wrote his first short story. Baba did not care but Rahim Khan asked to read, and acually encouraged him to write more, he even gave him a notebook for his birthday to write in. Also when he promised to look after the house after Baba and Amir had left, he did he even got Hassan (another trustworthy character) and his family to come help him. Another thing is Baba obviously trusted Rahim, he trusted him with the secret of Hassan and Amir's brother relation and he did keep it for a very long time. He only told Amir when the time was right, when he knew that he had to tell him everything including how Hassan died and about Hassan's son. Rahim even knows what he should not say and what he should stay out of like Hassan and Amir's problem, Rahim knew that Amir watched Hassan get raped but he stayed quiet never telling anyone. This is why we would trust Rahim Khan, because he knew everything but said nothing.
