Favourite Chapter Activity #3

Our chapter activity was writing a poem summarizing the recent events that happened in the 2 chapters we read in the Kite Runner. We described the 2 chapters, how the characters feel about the events in the story, and how we felt about both the characters' reactions and the events in the story. I chose this chapter activity as my favorite because it clearly represents our feelings on the 2 chapters we read.

Searching for Sohrab

Amir goes to the orphanage with Farid,

Only to know that Sohrab is missing,

Only to find out that the clock of life is ticking.

Amir learns about Zaman’s deeds,

That all along he was selling kids.

The Taliban bans people to cheer

On the soccer games so I give them a jeer.

The Taliban stones a couple in the middle of the game,

The people don’t care because that’s common and lame.

Amir is shocked that people get stoned,

Farid is also mind-blown.

The two wants to meet the cleric,

Because the two wants to understand the esoteric

And in the end, gain freedom from the crazed group of hysterics.
