"The Shadow Thief (Le voleur d'ombres) is the French writer mark Levi's novel. Its an entertaining and moving novel about first loves, friendship, and dreams, The Shadow Thief tells the story of a boy who grows up with a special gift: He can steal other people's shadows - and the shadows confide secrets in him. These dark reflections come and go, revealing hidden insights into the person they belong to." According to Amazon Books.
The Shadow Thief is similar to mind-reading, but everyone has its own shadow side, they can not only reveal master and privacy, also can comment on all master, and can express their attitude. In the boy's shadow overlap with other people, he can communicate with someone else's shadow. Everyone wanted their own completeness, disguised aren't real image, then they will forget about the things they really want. Luke(the boy's friend)wants to be a doctor. The boy helped he to leave the bakery. Later, he realized he really likes being the baker. Then he went back to the bakery. Sometimes people yearn for something. It is not necessarily what we really like, and what we really like may be not so glamorous. This book make me know to make sure know what is we really want and to pursue, and don't waste time on frivoilous things.
