Bullying

he had bruises and black eyes

tears rolling down his cheek

everyday he is hurting

but smiles each week

he was pushed over the edge

people were calling him names

from getting called gay to ugly

he's tired of these games

he complained but no one cared

he wanted to be happy

live his life to the fullest

but was too unhappy

I wrote this ballad poem for English class about bullying. I used an article about a boy ending his life due to all the bullying he had to go through. Bullying is such a big problem that so many kids go through. It definitely should not be a problem at all and it is so unnecessary. I wrote this from the boy's perspective. He was bullied but he would act happy in front of his family. I chose this topic to show others how hard it is for kids who go through bullying and their perspective. I don't want bullying to be such a big problem and I want this problem to be resolved soon. No one deserves to go through bullying.
