Our Goals For This School Year

The school year just started and we have so many goals that we are working on to complete. Here are some of our goals.

Chloe

My goals for this year is to thrive in my reading skills. I wanna be able to contrast. I wanna be able to answer questions from the book I have just read with out any problems. When I have finished a book I wanna be able to tell people a short and concise summary of the book with out me struggling on what to say. Another goal is have in mind is to be able to write short stories in a short amount of time. In the past I struggled in writing stories because I always get stuck and don't know what else to write. But as the days go by i would like to be able to write with a free mind that won't run out of ideas.

The books I'd like to read this year are, The Abundance of Katherine, Fangirling and The Girl On the Train. I'd like to read theses books because my other friends have suggested them to me and told me how great these books were.

Prunella

My goals for this year are to get straight A's, place in the top three in a forensics competition, finish all the unread books I have laying in my room, and lastly to improve in something, nothing in particular I just want to get better at something.

AJ This school year I have many goals that I plan to complete. I want to make straight As. I know that is hard but I will try to do so for at least one quarter. Another goal is to play good on the SIS basketball team. I was disappointed at how I played last year so I plan to redeem myself. Another goal is to read more. I have not been reading as much as I used to before, but I will try to read more books because I enjoy it. Two books that I want to read are Department 19 and Paper Towns. My last goal is to work harder in everything I do, because I often slack a lot. So I plan to work hard and focus on my work.

Ami

I have many goals that I want to achieve this year. A few of them are to get good grades in all four quarters. I also really do want to get good scores on my AP US History exams in May which will take a lot of effort and time. I really want to focus on school this year and not to procrastinate so much like last year. Out of school, I just really want to improve on my tennis game which is another thing I'm trying to focus on. School and sports will take up my time but they're one of my priorities this school year and I want to really work hard on both.

Annabelle

This year I want to try reading different genres of books that are out of my comfort zone. I usually read science fiction or realistic novels. I also want to read more books than I did last year. A few books that I want to read this year are the last two books in the Maze Runner series. I'd also like to read "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" which is a book about a girl who gets lost during a hike. I've already downloaded the book and I'm pretty excited to read it.
