Favorite Author (James Dashner)

I have many authors I absolutely love but, my favorite author at the moment is James Dashner. He is the author of the Mortality Doctrine, Infinity Ring, and my favorite series, the Maze Runner. He was born in Georgia on November 26th, 1972 but now lives in the Rocky Mountains. He attended Duluth High School and Brigham Young University which is where he met his wife. He has a masters degree in accounting and worked in finance but is now a truly amazing writer.

James Dashner, the author of one of my favorite book series, is an amazing author. I remember reading the first book of the Maze Runner series and immediately got hooked to it. His writing is truly amazing and I enjoyed reading his book so much. I have read the Hunger Games and Divergent but the storyline in the Maze Runner definitely was a lot more interesting than those two series. While reading these books, I was in a rollercoaster of emotions. In the third book, the Death Cure, I definitely shed a few tears while reading it. (SPOILER) One quote from the book, “Kill me. If you’ve ever been my friend, kill me." was said from Newt who was my favorite character.

I have read all four books in the Maze Runner series and loved them all. Usually, I only like the first book of every series (ex. Divergent and the Hunger Games) but for this series, I enjoyed reading all four books. There are also movies on the first two books in the series but I personally think that the books are so much better than the film. I am excited to read more books from James Dashner and am thinking of reading the Mortality Doctrine series next.
