The Bane Chronicles is an anthology of short stories about Magnus Bane, The High Warlock of Brooklyn. The book is 528 pages long and is divided into eleven short stories. I actually have not finished reading the book, but I have already been sucked into the fabulous and glittery world of Magnus Bane. Even without having finished half of the book I already know that I am not only going to love it but I am going to want more. That is what Cassandra Clare does, she keeps you wanting more.

Magnus Bane to me is a very interesting character, he seems so outgoing and crazy but is also very closed off. And that fascinates me, I want to know what happened in his life. He is immortal and has lived for many centuries before meeting Clary and Alec and the rest of the gang. This book is great because it is about his adventures throughout his life.

I bought this book because Magnus is one of my favorite characters and I felt like he was not talked about enough in The Mortal Instruments series. This book I recommend to any person who loves Magnus, to get a glimpse at his life before meeting the new generation of shadowhunters.
